today I was playing trem as human suddenly I heard BS sounds then I looked at the scoreboard... we were still S2(13K left). I go down the stairs and saw some strange battlesuit and it chomped me WTH. blah1 chomped by blah2's dragoon. WTHs OMGs ONOZ
someone please describe that to me

Come on ! That bug has been know for AGES. I guess updated servers have fixed that one so it explains why you don't see it often but it's still an old bug

its still around on crappy servers with no adims

i told some guy to stop using it or vote kick

hilarity ensued as he renamed all the time and a few players got kicked by accident

Faking a BS doesn't arm in any way, the player still has it's HP, same damage etc.

Are you kiding? This is a major problem. First, if you aren't careful, you might confuse an alien with a teammate. Happened to me once even though I know about that exploit. It was like that when facing a friend in a corridor, "Wtf, how can we be already in stage 3, I didn't notice it! Stof has been chomped" Lot's of profanity ensued.

Also, ot completly negates the ability for humans to differentiate the alien forms, and makes the alien bounding box much harder to find. Try to massdrive a dretch disguised as a BS!

even if you fix the bug theres still a way you can do it...some dude "accidentally" became a bsuit...then when i tried it (because i know how) it diddnt work...the admin patched it...but still there was a way around it...!

happened to me on AKKA.
Was playing with a mara and killing, etc. All of a sudden i hear a bsuit so i yell "s3?!?!?!".
Took me a while to realise it was me.

I have no idea how to initiate the bug so I have no idea what I did.
I was just happilly swiping/zaping/swiping

I know how to do this, but you can only do it on the Windows client.

I made a forum search and found out that it is a bug reported in bugzilla. and its status is fixed. IMHO those servers are using ancient builds

I know the old bsuit bug has been fixed for quite some time.. I was wondering if this is a new way of doing it that the devs might not know about... Plus it seems like AKKA would be updated.. but then again maybe thats just a bad assumption.

Yes, that's the important point. We need to make sure the server isn't patched or it means that bug is still unfixed.

Old bug was "alien_in_BS". It wasn't specific for a dretch. I remember distinctly getting chomped by a Dragoon in a BS.

..btw.. if anything will get you kicked from the forums its posting bugs like that. IDK if that actually is it or not, but to be safe you've been edited. Some servers are not patched.. its best just to keep it to yourself if you know how its done.

...blame the boards for always putting the tag at the end of the post instead of after the cursor like any normal program would... I know the tag so I should have just typed it in -_-...
