a big disatvantage of beeing on the human team is that you have to figth on two fronts:
   - first you have to fight the nasty aliens
   - second you have to stay alert to your other teammates and your defens machine guns, becouse they sometimes have more chanses of killing you than the aliens have.
an option like friendly fire wold be nice, but not very realistic and the game (in my oppinion) wold lose somme fun.

It also seems to me that everything is moving a little too fast,  a bit unrealistic. The aliens and the humans alike run too fast.

so the bit about team killing is totally irrelivant and your question was only really a statement saying humans and aliens move too fast?

imo they dont move to fast, but its slightly annoying when a fleeing human sprints and can sometimes get away

I haven't done it yet on a FF server.. but its really annoying when your lining up a shot and you press the trigger as some idiot walks right in front of you.. there isn't really anything you can do about it.. same goes for all weapons..
ff gets on my nerves because people constantly want to get in close to the aliens and out manuver them, i do too.. but it makes it hard to get a shot in.
FF prevents camping, but it also prevents moving... it just hurts the human team while having no real strong disadvantage for the aliens.
Movement speed is fine with me, and fighting aliens isn't a disadvantage.. its a reward :D!

FF does infact carry a very strong penalty for aliens : it gets extremly dificult for them to attack a human with more than 1 alien at the same time without doing some team kills ( not counting a full dretch alien squad )
urphy's rules of combat
8 ) Teamwork is essential; it gives the enemy someone else to shoot at.
18 ) Make it too tough for the enemy to get in and you can't get out.

Right, and it makes the basilisk even less useful because if you grab a hummie for your teammates, you stand a great risk of dying.

And if you don't get out of the way of certain players, they will hit you until you do.  If you die is of no consequence to them.  It's very frustrating to be killed more by your own team than by the humans.

And then goon pounce still does damage on some servers, and the Tyrant charge usually does.

I wish aliens only did partial damage to each other.

I understand all of that.. but still its vastly easier to use alien in a ff match.
The basi thing is annoying if the guy helping you is an idiot.... and fking poison as an alien is really nasty... but its still a lot easier to avoid a TK as alien.
Aliens can go single and handle humans or escape most of the time.. humans have to break out in groups, and often it is the case an alien gets right in the middle and someone shoots you.
Thats just my opinion though...
Dretch squad FTW!

ff is uber annoying for aliens

especially posioning, which is a bit of a joke

how are you supposed to pounce and chomp, when theres 4 dretches , a mara, and a basi, all trying to get him

You STOP pressing LMB like crazy and start using your BRAIN.
Can be hard for You, but others are coping with this THINKING stuff quite nicely.

I accidenly FFed two guys in a row.. and I left cause I was scared they might get angry...

anyways, I agree with you in the poison thing. I was ADV Marauder and I had been poinsed like... three times...

And is there any way for aliens to move faster? I mean, when I play as a human, the aliens catch up to me (but sometimes i survive) and when I'm alien, I can't catch up to the humans.

And maybe humans are faster cause it's the future. Duh. Science?

are you sprinting as a human? also, aside from abilities like pounce and charge and walljump, all aliens can strafe jump to gain quite a bit of speed.

Ok let's plan it out. Asva, you are nub, go sit on rets, I will build, you two go feed like hell, you go pwn their asses, and everyone else camp in the hallway, roger?

I do sprint and so jump gives aliens more speed?
Also, does wallcrawling help them move faster? Because if not, it should :(

jump does not give any more speed, but due to some imperfect math in the q3 (and many other) engine, strafing while jumping will make you go slightly faster, and if you jump at the exact moment you hit the ground, you will keep that speed and your next jump will make you a little faster again. tremulous appears to cap the speed you can gain using this method to keep it from becoming rediculous, but the difference is still noticable (if you want to get really fancy, you can read up on circle strafe jumps)

Are you kidding? That's what alien ff is for: pouncing the marauders that get in your way. Squish those dretches too, you don't even have to make up excuses for them. 8)

(Be nice to basilisks though)

Yeah, I hate it when a teammate moves into your crosshair when you were about to have the perfect shot, no matter what the game. It happened to me yesterday in CoD2 singleplayer, and in my outburst of rage I shot the guy in the face and shot at my team until the "friendly fire" message appeared and made me go to the last checkpoint. Stupid english guy lost me a headshot.

And no, I think humans move appropriately for a sci-fi game like this. It's not like it's deeply rooted in realism. Only thing that needs to be changed is the running animations. I'm sick watching humans prance around >_> Their legs don't move far enough forward and then they move too far back, and it looks cartoony.
