first of all, i would like to thank you for not posting in the form 'hi my server won't work pls fix it' with no information, like many people like to do on this forum. second, if you are trying to install tjw's server, then your server isn't starting because you didn't put tjw's game.qvm in the right place, so make absolutely sure you put it in the right folder. third, it's tremded.exe +set dedicated 2 +exec server.cfg to make it an internet server, you got the line slightly wrong. forth, i believe that the port you have to forward to your computer is 37020, but you should check me on that.

im HITman also i fixed that problem but now my problem is that it wont show up in the Internet Search it only shows up in local with [udp] by its name i also have a linksys WRk54G router and im confused on doing port forwarding and from wat i see i think i have done it right so would someoen mind telling me exactly wat goes where and here is wat i have currently put for my router settings

Application|--- start|     ---  End|     ---  Protocol|     ---           IP Address| ---    Enabled
tremded ---  30720---   30729  ---  both(tcp+udp)     ---   192.168.1.1   ---    yes

also i have opened the ports inside of my firewall and i wanted to ask if we also needed port triggering, upnp forwarding, or dmz and i have heard this problem maybe bcuz i have my router and connection settings to "Obtain ip address automatically" instead of having a static ip

you should forward to your computer's ip adress, not your router's. (you can find out what your computer's ip adress is on windows by typing ipconfig in a commandprompt)

it says:
ip address 192.168.1.101
subnet mask 255.255.255.0
default gateway: 192.168.1.1

so wat am i supposed to do? replace the 1 in 192.168.1.1 with 192.168.1.101?

port triggering - no
upnp forwarding - no
dmz - no

You don't need to port forward tcp, only udp.  No sense exposing more of your network than you need ;)

Also, you only need to forward udp port 30720, the rest are unnecessary as they will be known as stateful connections and are connected to the initial connection to udp port 30720, so your router will allow them.
