Tremulous Startup Crash

Hi. I'm running Sabayon Linux 3.0RC2 miniEdition. It's essentially Gentoo with XGL and an installer. Because of this, I'm using xgame to start the game in a new X session, so that's what the X server garbage is about. Anyhow, when I start up Tremulous, I get all sorts of happy output, and then it dies, seemingly out of nowhere.

Tremulous segfaulted while loading vm/ui.qvm. What version of Tremulous do you have?
If my answer to your problem doesn't seem helpful, it means I won't help you until you show some effort to fix your problem yourself!
1.2.0 release's been delayed for 5:48:00 already because of stupid questions.

1.10. I've tried installing the game using the emerge command (the game is hardmasked for some reason, though) and through the *x86.run file, but both give me this error when I try to play. Is there any way to get a separate copy of this file?

If you know any fixes, please share. This game is really fun, and was definitely the spotlight at my last LAN party!

it isn't, it's in vms-1.1.0.pk3, which should be in $yourtremdir/base/ (this folder should also have a bunch of maps, if it doesn't, you forgot the tremulous-data)

It's there, as are the maps, but Tremulous still crashes on start up. As a side note, the Tremulous window comes up fullscreen before the game crashes. It's still black, and it disappears almsot as soon as it appears.
