Any old quake hand knows what teamoverlay is, and it is great. Could we please get it back?

Teamoverlay shows healthbars over teammates you point at.

clientinfo_T health is present, but not implemented
cgs.clientinfo[ cg.crosshairClientNum ].health returns zero
/me to lazy to do it, besides whats the use, noone has any love for my patches

i remember team overlays from elite force...(uses almost exact same coding as quake3) was very useful in certain games and mods.. and im sure it would be useful in trem

Hopefully if they implement a healing class for humans this will already be in the works.
I.. am not that sure how this is really useful though if there is nothing you can do about your teammates health...

You can be more careful about shooting everywhere :P
also, they are making a healing class?  :eek:

This would be useful for people to know why you're running so fast back to your base... and they won't block me and get owned by that marauder chasing me...

- Knowing who should lead the party when a group of you is traveling around the map. Usually when some guy took some damage, I'm courteous and try to stay ahead of him to take the first hit of whatever comes our way, and it's hard when you don't know if they're at 2hp or 100.
- Generally, knowing what kind of shape your group is in.
- Knowing who to protect with your bullets or body when they're retreating
And finally...
- Makes it easier to FF jerks/n00bs down to as little hp as possible without killing them. :D

And for added fun, make it only come up if you have a helmet(scan for vital signs/etc).

Maybe make regular humans get just the health bar, and helmeted ones can see the percentage and/or full hp also. Or maybe they can see how much ammo that player has left also. Aliens would all get the health bar and the full hp text.

who are "they"?

anyway the patch would be client side (cgame), and since
-No word from Timbo about a date/progress/goal to reach/estimate time to new version
-none of my patches entered svn
ergo forget about it :)
