slashes on walls?

When we finally get around to giving aliens visible claws/what have you, would it be possible to put slash marks on the walls when you claw or chomp them?  Or is the Q3 engine limited to black bullet marks?

Well actually the bullet marks are fully customizable. In Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, you can make holes in the walls with your knife, so it seems totally possible.
