I've been thinking about the nextgen consoles like the Wii ,Playstation3 and
Xbox360 now i have a question:
Which would you buy or you gonna stay Pc?
How about the games what for games you gonna buy for your console or for your Pc on the next times

I'm sticking with PC as consoles are a waste imho. Saving up for NWN2 collector's edition.

Hmmm which console do you think has the much more power?
I read from other websites that the Xbox360 has more hardware but the Ps3 a better graphic will bring but the Wii has no probs cause they want just FUN.Controllers are a nice new touch  8)
But i voted not yet
I play more with the PC as Ps2  :P

Nothing is ever going to beat my PC in my heart. I can scale my hardware up periodically to meet new games, or scale the games down to meet my hardware. It's all my games, work, media in one box. I'm not going to switch to a console for something I can get on my PC.

That being said, I'll be buying a Wii. Nintendo's the only company doing anything innovative enough for me to actually log some man hours on it over my PC.

Bah, PS3 will not allow trading of games between consoles, will not run as fast as claimed, has so many lawsuits behind it (george foreman, etc)

PS3 will run sony into the ground. They need to drop blu-ray.. they are so obsessed with proprietary formats though..   With all the trouble they have, and the money they are going to loose on each console.. this would be the thing that kills them.
Development costs are going to be rediculous.. games are going to start getting very similar... except for.. the Wii
The wii will sell a ton initially.. but unless nintendo can get their heads out of their asses and stop making kiddie consoles, or gimmick consoles with novelty puzzle games (the DS) its not going to get any support and will just allow them to squeek by until the next generation.. like last time...
The wii is a great console with the right idea.. hopefully the massive costs and idiocy of sony, the up until now leader will drive some developers to nintendo... and they will stop being so narrow minded and get some violent GTA kinds of games on there to break their stupid kiddie pokemon image.

(Another note... anyone noticed the $60 games? THAT is the thing that keeps me from buying ANY of them.. i have a computer where games are still $49-39 (or even free like tremulous) most of the time and where the price drops pretty quickly.. they don't impose liscenses on computer games because noone has to recouperate console costs.. so the prices will stay reasonable.. so thats where i'm staying for now.)

Being the Nintendo fan that i am, i want to get the Wii.
But i'm also a cashless unemployed student, so i doubt i'll get it the first 1 or 2 years :|

Meh.  They are all too expensive for me right now.  Especially the PS3.  I'm sticking with my PC, mainly because I already have a PC.  And then there's the free games like Tremulous (and Nexuiz, or at least if it ran better).

If I get anything, which is rather doubtful, it would be the Wii, but only as long as I got to handle a controller somewhere.  Man, that is some frickin weird stuff.

And then I'm still not done with my N64 either.  I have a big handful of games sitting in my room I haven't played yet, and there are games I still need to buy.

The Wii controllers are weird but that's the sense for more fun little joke  :wink: ,there are 2 Wii controllers. There must be somewhere a little trailer for the Wii try these links

Since the Wii is the only console that adds anything over a PC, I will buy a Wii. The PS3 and Xbox360 are just PC's in VCR casings, No thanks.

Damn almost forgot about Gothic 3, still playing 1 and 2 atm.

Btw the Grillstation would be the ultimate console, you could have a fry up while gaming, no need to get up apart from toilet/drinks.

Meh Im sticking with pc, one of the reasons why theese consoles seem so good to some people is that there pc may be slow for example, it dosnt take that much power to run a console because it needs no operating system... and before you start saying i also like it because its imposible to crash consoles think again. when i was testing a game for atari i crashed the ps2 console, (i was testing testdrive incase neyone's wondering).
