Hello to those on tremulous forums.
I'm a universist. But not only that.
I'm an animator too. Not professional, not 1337, but a decent freestyle noobcake.


I'm going to make a flash vid about the hopes and dreams op lotsa different ppl. On the music "One Dream". I will ask the lot of you for your dreams about what you would like to become, what you wish would be possible, or what you want this world to become. Basically post any hope or dream of any scale. Interesting stuff would be welcome. Important or Big-Impact stuff would be very welcome. Small little silly things and humourous stuff will be more than welcome  :D  .

My impossibly big world dream is that people stop being stupid. This includes them thinking for themselves, and questioning what they are told to a reasonable extent instead of blindly accepting it. Putting things in perspective and seeing them from the other guys shoes, and overall being more tolerant of those who have come to different conclusions about their lives... I think if people would stop settling into their ruts of stupidity saying "its ok because I’m.." and started acting like a human being instead of a certain subset with special permissions i think the world would be a lot better. If we can also learn to see other people as human beings first instead of their choices  and genetic make up that will also help.. The biggest problem in the world for us to solve is people.. all the rest will be solved if we can just fix the people.
... yeah.. try to put that to music ;)
I also wish other animals would evolve already.. i'm tired of them taking their time.

im doing a biology degree atm . evolution is pretty funky

Two people can be right at the same time ;).
If i say my god exists, and you say your god exists.. we can both be right.. if you say the bible is gods word and i say its not.. we can both be right.. How? Because neither of use can really proove or disproove it.. maybe the truth is in the middle ground.. tolerance is not ripping the other guys head off because he thinks different.. its not judging people because they are different.. its accepting difference... not being right or wrong. Agreeing to disagree, but not hate the other guy because he does.

Nah, there is a simple way to show, that god CAN'T exist:

If the evangelic god does exists, the roman and the greek gods, the chinese gods, etc. would also exist. That the evangelic god and the roman gods are different, we know, because the one is ONE god, and the others are many. And both should have created the world, the universe, etc.? A bit weird, don't you think? So the solution for this problem? Simple: There is/are no god(s) :)

(Little correction: Oden and Thor does exist in my opinion ;))

How can you expect to define god? If god is infinite can god not be singular and plural? And there you go with 2 gods :p, maybe god is schizophrenic, or just likes being multiple things but is really 1, but many at a time... But.. to be tolerant.. you can think that god does or doesn't exist for whatever reasons you want.. I do enjoy a friendly discourse on that.. but i think that would need its own thread.

I check OT more than anything else because it seems its a revolving list of new people who just say the same things in the other sections. I watch them to mod when needed and reply occasionally when there is an easy reply or something new though.. if someone wants to make a thread about god thats fine.. we'll try to let you get back on topic here ;)

hmm. Difficult to answer for me :) as my dreams should stay dreams, if they would get real I'd have nothing to dream about.

But what I'd would like to see in the world is a mixture between communism and democracy, where "fair use" would not be an empty slogan.

Communistic democracy does sound like a contradiction, but it really isn't.
Just think we could do without Bush, Merkel or Putin and vote directly about each issue. The basic setup is allready there, just use the internet :)

And "fair use"... imagine the music industry would no longer exist and recording/sharing a song would not be harder punished than child-abuse.

Imho those 2 point would free up enormous amounts of money (not only in terms of politicians salaries, bribes or lobbying-money) which could be viable used on other fields (e.g. social ones)

Okay, being asked my opinion I will just post some thoughts I would like to become real in a bright future... ;)

I will not go as far as dream of a world with no stupid people. That is a nice thought but sadly very unlikely. :(

What I dream about is a future with people finally realizing that there are less differences between them than they think. I guess it will be the day religion dies as most of our animosities root in religious fanatism or at least religious thinking. In a world without muslims hating christs hating jews hating muslims there would be far less ground for conflicts. But I guess people on a broad base will never develop personalities strong enough to live without some prospect of eternal life and power hungry religious leaders will see to that people will stay in the herd.
My second dream is that humanity finally gets off earth and starts colonizing the solar system. With 3 Million living on Mars, 1 Million on Titan and another Million in various space stations a single big rock hitting earth will not be the end of humanity anymore. To know human race will be safe the next millenia would be a comforting thought...

P.S.: Sorry to any religious people whose feelings I may have hurt, but it is my personal opinion that religion is one of the core evils on earth inspiring crimes and even atrocities in god's name nobody would commit otherwise.

Lol, dan. That first wish is one of the humongous mounds of details of my dream! :D Your completely right about religion being a large source of what I call "Evil". Lol. :) That second dream is very cool. :P Y'know, We got most of the spacetravel already, so now all we need is terraforming for that. Your dream might not be so far as you think! :)


I'm really getting touched by some of the feeling ppl post here. (Not you, lava! :P) Keep it up people! Most ppl's names will appear in the vid. :)
