I look upon ET and trem as kinda equal, though trem has some features i'd like to see in ET, such as the friend search.

Though there is more depth and strategy on some levels in et, trem is more intense and fast-paced. this can go both ways for both games really... when i play et, i can hang back, and consider, help in other ways than slaughtering the other team, i can distribute ammo, revive people, take out dangerous mortars and so on as covert ops.
Really, i think et is a better game, but it is also older, so there are MANY MANY players there who are just too good, it gets boring playing against godlikes sometimes..

trem is very addictive in the way its played, bases and so on, but i find it just a little bit too fast paced for my taste though 'tis fun really, the speed- it just gets tiring after some time.

I very much like experimental base building in trem, i can waste hours on an empty server on finding new working base locations.

The movie is dead.

They claim it's some sort of open source hack of ET.

A lot of the forum posts deal with aimbots and such.

So you are obliquely trying to tell us that cheaters have ruined ET?

Actually, yes, it very well may have. This hack is actually a mod, and not a hack program, which makes it extremely hard for PB to detect it, apparently.

Too bad about the link..
It did:
Auto aim (the guy was flipping around front back front back extremely rapidly shooting people headshots)
Lit up people bright red/blue so you could see them from a long ways away.
Let you see them through walls.
I'm not sure if it did anything for health.. because none could ever shoot him because they couldn't get close enough.. lots of vids of people kicking him for cheating.

He actually did die by being shot, so no invincibility.

I don't get it.

How are these Germans getting ET? Isn't it banned?

ET does not have any Nazism involved in it. Hence the different symbols.

Oh my god.
.....
....
...
..
.
This is a disgrace! this mod is called ET2?
the only things it does it change some skins and soundtracks, and set up some random statguns around in the map.

these people should be ashamed of themselves, not for making a mod, which is fine by me, but calling it ET2.

If you are making a "(something)2" it demands something NEW, not just some new skins or soundtracks.

They really have got a bloody nerve![/i]

Whoah.

I thought this thread was a brand new one about Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, except it's an old lame thread that has been rather deceitfully retitled.

I fully agree with Bajsefar, except I am more pissed off about the title.

Three things about it bother me.  Bajesefar's point, the superscript 2, and the postscript, "Who wanted already the war."  I mean, goddamn, what the hell is that even supposed to mean?

It seems kind of lame so far.  According the forum, it's not a gameplay mod.  Apparently, they are only going to change the skins, HUD, buttons, symbols and whatever the hell else that doesn't affect gameplay.  Oh, and apparently 1 extra MG42.  Or at least at first, anyways.  ET mods generally don't get very far, so I will be surprised if this ever gets anywhere.
