Problem with starting maps.
« on: November 01, 2006, 08:11:13 pm »
I'v downloaded a few of the maps fom Tremulous.info, & I was just in games with the maps Meep b2, & Battlezone final so I know they work, but if I try to make a game I can't run them.
On the map list, Meep b2 is shown as Meep b1, & im not sure why Battlezone is just Battlezone, I don't know if it's suppost to say final or not but it won't let me start on either of those maps, & when I try to change to the in game it will say "Can't find map maps\Battlezone.bsp" or "Can't find map maps\meep_b1.bsp" I don't have have a maps folder in tremuous, & I didn't get any bsp files with the downloaded maps.
Can anyone tell me how I can get them to work?

i dont know why they are .bsp's they should be .pk3's (shouldnt they?). if your running windows, your folder base folder should have stuff like this:
aracnid
tremor
ATCS
etc etc

server.cfg
autoexec.cfg
qkey

you do not need a maps folder. they should just be stray in your base folder. not base2 or anything else. c:/program files/tremulous/base (or something like that) mine is c:/documents and settings/bazuka/desktop/tremulous/base

Thats what it has, the maps I downloaded are pk3's but in game when I try to change to them it says it can't find those files. & I have no clue what those are.

When you say try to change to them... what exactly do you mean?.. What command do you use "type it in exactly how you do in game", or if you are using a rotation file post that.
