I've used Odin's sound modifications for a while now, and I like them much more than the defaults.
Stop it. Seriously.

Most of the default sounds are OK, but I thought some needed a better sound so I made that mod.

Hoe does the mod actually work, do you just put it into the base folder?

It won't work on servers that don't run it.

Yes i did but when i start my own test server (not pure) there are no sound changes   Am i doing something wrong?
I just put the CFG file from the chaingun in to the base folder. Others has just the sound exaple.
Place the entire .pk3 into the base folder. Unpacking it won't work (doesn't work for maps anyway).

So after you get the sound pk file, do you have to go to console and type something?

No. You put the .pk3 file in the base folder. How hard is that to understand?

I believe that the file you DOWNLOADED is pk file =/
so all you have to do is put it in the base folder and the sound changes magically?

Nothing. I just thought that a couple of the original sounds sounded weak for the weapons they were assigned to.

Other than jetpack being annoyingly loud for such a craptastic sound?

Have you ever tried to fly around for some 5 minutes as builder?

Be careful with this mod, once you delete it your sounds go messed. Possibly it's a bug in the game, but after I removed the pk file from my base folder flamer sound etc sounded awful.

Nothing. Personally I much prefer the original sounds to those in the mod, especially the machinegun - I have fired similar weapons before, and the original sound is much more accurate.

Er, that shouldn't happen at all. The mod does not modify your game in any way; the game just reads that pk3 after it's already loaded its own sounds.
