im not sure about the physics of trems grenade



but 2 things


if i throw my granger ontop of the nade, does it reduce the damage done to the base? - imo id rather give the human some creds than have all the tubes destroyed


secondly, would this in your opinion dramatically alter the balance of the game?

Seeing that the grenades can kill multiples enemies at the same time i think it will be useless...a bit like Neo vs Smith's clones...no matter how many there are, he repels them outside a predetermined radius  :roll:

Although it would be fun to have a suicidal granger, i think it will imply that most of the time, the grenade wouldn t be able to damage more than one alien (for example one goon got hit, and block most of the damage for the others aliens) so the grenade would become quite useless.

This is only a wild guess...I didn t study Q3 engine.

Yeah, automatic blocking of the grenade damage just by standing on top of it would make the grenade rather useless.

Instead, add an ability for a granger to swallow whole the grenade maybe It wouldn't prevent the grenade from exploding but would allow you to make it explode elsewhere.

310 damage split evenly around the blast radius?

varying degrees of damage the futher away from the nade you are?

Max range is quoted as "192".

The granger swallowing a nade thing would be an idea within reason. Could have a carefully controlled rocket granger.

This idea is awesome, but not for the ability to take the nade elsewhere. You wouldn't have the time once you'd swallowed it. I just want to see a granger take one for the team and explode from the inside out

As long as elsewhere means farther away from the tubes so that they do not die and not much more, it is normal. You wouldn't want the granger to become a walking suicide bomber that can explode at will after that happens.
