how to ban better

Perma bans do nothing, try one month.  A noob will move on to another game in a month or get better.  and a real TKer will get a new IP address.  It might be good to disable name changes, not let Unnames on, and not let 2 peolpe with the same name join.  it is ok to do a trem ban 30 minutes, afew hours on lare portions of the net, 100.x.x.x. alot of admins are good.  sst AKKA and TJW are the hardest servers to TK over and over. and they have the most admins.  Server Disconnected - You have been banned. admin: [COM]The O.E.D. duration: PERMANENT reason: go away. lvl51 druids are retarded Exit

if it isnt nocomputer. One of the most hated persons of the game. Ive seen you and banned you on just about all servers that I can ban on. Thanks to peoro, i got bored of banning you and just used my favorite command on you, !denybuild. Thanks to me and a couple of other players, Thorn and Shafe, we have created a script that stop people like you. All it basically does, stops you from building, mutes you, and renames you to something funny such as: IAmGay, IAmAPedophile ect ect. How many servers are you banned on now? for curtain servers, they arnt smart and either dont have TJW or R1CH's mod. for not-smart server ops, they just ban you from the entire ip. luckily, i belive AKKA is the only, or one of the only servers to use R1. so you aint goin back there. You have been banned on all servers where i have admin on. thank you, and go to hell.

I've been told that the R1CH patch collection bans by far more than just IP.  Unfortunately, most servers use TJW.  One wishes they could collaborate and combine at least some of their bug fixes.

nocomputer was deconning yaknet a lot, so robug implemented the designated build patch that lets him set certain buildings up as protected. seemed to work

@techhead: your probally right when you said he has about 100 ips. all banned. but like i stated in my first post, and just ban the first 6 numbers in the ip (123.456.XXX.XXX) and he wont come back. [basically, that bans the isp]

That way, we can get large fields of results efficiently and in a short amount of time.

What People do on other Servers is not my concern. While I don't like to house deconers, I will not ban anyone that has gotten a ban on another server.

On our server I know what that player did to "deserve" a ban and I know the people that can issue one.
I don't know any other Admin or Server-staff that well that I would trust their reasoning for issuing a ban.

Please Techhead, do yourself and us the favour and rethink your suggestion. Especially with Dyn-IPs in mind.
Then you might find out that your suggestion is a) bullshit and b) would pretty soon exclude thousands of IPs.

Your suggestion would end up to something the Nazis did in WW2, called "Sippenhaft" (translates to something like "Clan liability"), and this is not wanted by anybody.
