We seriously need an ALIENS-esque map for tremulous.

Aliens starting in the atmosphear plant and humans in the controll center.

There is one map like that already. Half of the map is covered in some strange colored stuff and it is the alien starting location. Called minetest if I'm not mistaken. The map is somewhat OK although the alien base causes too much slow down.

DIGI_Byte's DMB01 map has an alien base like that, but it's alpha and development seems to have gone cold on it.

first of all, that map is old and this is about aliens the movie

second of all when it slows down its called LAG!!

third you have a slow computer probably because i have mac G4 and i dont lag there :evil:  :evil:

First, when it slows down, it's called slow down, it's called a badly optimised map, it's called a FPS drop, but it is NOT called lag.

Seconds, every single player that went to the alien base ( yeah I know, this rules out more than half the human team ) will tell you that the game slows down when playing in there or in the tunnels near the base.

I can only say that you either used the wrong map, used a special "for you only" optimised verion, played in an completly empty server with cg_maxfps 10 or are telling lies.

i am starting to work with some friends to make an Alien Vs Predator mod similar to the AVP games made by fox interactive. Sadly there wont be any predators in this mod so it is called Alien Vs Marine or AVM. There will be new skins for the players on both alien and human side, the weapons on the human team will be just like the weapons you have seen in the aliens movies (Pulse Rifle, M56 Smartgun, ect) and the weapons for the aliens will be stuff like acid spit and such. I havent fully figured out how to make the skins and weapons but once i do the project will be done fairly soon. If you want to help me with this idea please email or pm me.

Yeah, minetest, I made that terrible thing in a couple of days. I still plan on eventually making a map along a similar theme - a mining operation that opens into natural tunnels, but it will be nothing like the horrible original.
