Any way to kick someone who seems un-kickable
« on: November 18, 2006, 01:06:56 am »
I'm currently playing on Dragon's ATCS only server, and there's a double player/decconer going by the name of // that we can't kick.  If we try to kick either of his clones, it simply changes the player to be kicked to some other random player.  It's obviously very frustrating, he just joins humans, deccons all the telenodes and sits around until the aliens manage to kill him.

Any suggestions?

Hmm, tried that, but it tells me it's an invalid player.

Hmm, he disconeccted, so it's fixed - at least until he comes back.

You can always kick/ban by slot.
There are many people who pick names that the game has issues with (color codes, special char, etc) but I've yet to see one that isn't kickable thru slot #.

hmmmmm

thats because

1.) that server only plays ACTS with a stupid amount of BP, that attracts uber noobs

2.) everytime ive had a look in there, there are no admins

3.)unless youve been given some sort of admin power, he can probably just rename all the time

Yeah, I saw that happen. It's not a big deal. Go to another server. I think that if they bumped down the BPs and rotated betweeen ATCS and alpha, then it would be much better. I go there sometimes when my favorite server, Yaknet, is on a map I don't like or is practically empty. THe quality of players at that ATCS server is not very high. I am ususally at the top or near it when I go there, and that's saying something. Overall, not a big deal. There are plenty of servers worth going to.

The command to call a kick vote on clientnum is /callvote clientkick #.

For me its always been enough to do
/callvote kick #

Like I said, I've yet to run into an unkickable player that way.
