alien structures takes no damage for first 20min
and humans start with s3 & 2000c
but aliens just needs 5 kills to get s2 and 10 kills to get s3
if humans manage to survive for the first 20min they win else they lose

No.

The lower staged base would be quickly stormed, and the higher staged team would spawnkill until the timelimit was reached.

I assume you meant the defending team's spawns.

It's not fun sitting just outside the "deadzone" with a team of flamers -- which is all the human team would have to do to win.  On a map such as Karith all the humans would have to do is use weapon of choice against the dretches for the first while until humans build an arm and medi at each doorstep to the alien base.  Then just take turns flame camping the doorway...

Would you believe that I actually had a dream about a gamemode similar to this?

The human team started at stage 3, and us bugs started at stage 1.  I don't believe our stuff was protected, but if we survived 5 or 10 minutes or however long it was, us bugs were instantly boosted to S3, where we incidentally flattened their base.

I don't recommend it as a gamemode, but it struck me as a damn odd thing to have a dream about.
