Tremulous advertising
« on: December 04, 2006, 01:32:16 am »
PlanetFreeware.org would be interested in inviting the Tremulous community to make a commercial(s) to promote Tremulous.  The ads would be featured on PlanetFreeware.org and youtube, google video, and other online video websites.  This is of course completely free advertising.  Planet Freeware staff feels that a new approach to advertising could be taken to promote freeware gaming further.  We've considered alot of options and think we have a pretty effective way of getting the word out.  We'd love to have a commercial type video of Tremulous to feature and we'd like to ask permission to use footage of Tremulous in the Planet Freeware advertisement video.  If you're interested please either reply to this or speak with me in #planetfreeware on GameSurge.

I'm no important figure or authority, but out of curiosity, does this advertisement show up as an ad, or simply in the videos when you search for them? I'd agree that freeware advertising would be wonderful. I actually would have never found Tremulous if I didnt find it on apple.com, I had never heard anyone mention the name.

The videos would be used for advertising, they should ideally contain some pretty badass footage and be formatted like a TV commercial so as to attract attention from the masses of people who react positively to commercial advertisements.

"attract attention from the masses of people who react positively to commercial advertisements." sounds like a PR firm looking for some free shit to broad its portfolio
