alrighty then...
a few observations about players/winning teams

aliens (from what ive seen) have a tendancy to win in smaller games, 2 players a team

humans win out in mediums type of games where theres about 3-4
players a team

and beyond that it really depends on the players, not that smaller games dont.

any one else have any observations about this? not so sure im right but that seams to be the trend

I don't really know if that is the case. However, since I added somes stats gathering code recently now is the time to find out. Basically whats needs to happen are lots and lots of games. I'm relatively happy with how the balance seems atm, but it's down to statistics to really paint the real picture.

It seems to me that there aren't exactly a shortage of people willing to play, it's just that since no one really organises games everybody connects at different times and games never get going.

So how about we try and get games organised outside the usual Friday slot. Once every other day? Post your thoughts... :)

we do need more games..
for a start im open most everyday after 5:00pm est usa time, earlier on weekends
though this is all dependant on when i work..

idea though for people who want exact times/dates: how about one game at the start of a week (mon-tues) one midweek game (wed-thrus), and one end of week game (fri-sat).
*the idea is not to play in all the games, but as many as you want/can*

edit: about my first post (the start of this thread) maybe some1 could write a small app that could record all this (players/wining team) in a server.log

So....?

How about games on Monday, Wednesday AND Friday evenings at the usual time (or preferably a bit earlier if it's not too much trouble for the North Americans)?

There are lots of people wanting to play, just look at all the tiny games played (each red cross is a game). Just because no one organises games, no one plays together. The bigger games are the ones that need checking for balance right now

i can see monday wed friday games... a set time will also help, let say game starts at 4:00-5:00pm est usa(gmt=???), thats about when i join on fridays, game is usually just getting started with 2-3players..but i can due ealier, as early as 2:30pm (work premitting) till the end of next week(june-18 ) and then im able to play anytime.

i notice that the forums seam rather slow during the week so this is going to take a while to get noticed, prehaps some one could spam it on irc or on the server a few times every day/week till the word gets out.

i would try to organise games but i dont have an irc client and just about every free client i dl has some virus/hack/trojan..

Would probably be best to make a new thread in the general forum announcing/discussing official times.

Eastern US (currently in daylight savings time) is GMT -4.

If you're using windows mIRC is the most popular IRC client and doesn't come with any malware.
