Tesla gun

I was thinking that a Tesla gun would be great. Just like the Tesla generator, it never misses. The Tesla gun would attack everything around a certain radius (only one target at a time), of course, it would not be able to attack through walls or doors. The problem with a Tesla gun would be that it rans out of electricity very quickly. The gun would be equipped with a tiny Tesla generator, and would recharge after some time.

I was thinking that it could zap for 3 seconds and would need to recharge for 10 seconds. After 4 seconds of recharging, it would be able to zap for 1 second, after 7 seconds of recharging, it would be able to zap for 2 seconds and after 10 seconds of recharging, it would be able to zap for 3 seconds.

a gun that never misses but has a small atk range and deals a small amount of damage could be a nice idea...but ur recharge thing makes it v. useless...

People would abuse it by making burst scripts.

What are burst scripts?

And how does the open source cause any problems?

Any gun that uses burst fire can be scripted to just keep burst firing til you run out of ammo.
