Tremulous Source Coding Help For A New Game!
« on: December 25, 2006, 02:36:57 am »
Me and my freind Baxter (you may have seen hime around) are wishing to make a game using the Tremulous source code. Now, he is studying it, but as another freind points out, this would take years. What I ask, is that some of you might be able to code source code for us. The idea of the game is like Trem, but instead of Aliens vs Humans, it's Martian Humans vs Eathly Humans. It would mean so much to us if you would help.

You can inquire about it here. http://z10.invisionfree.com/The_Evil_Empire/index.php?act=idx

It used to be called "The Evil Empire", but Baxter changed the name to "Digital Matter Studios". We would love any help we can get.

It actually shouldn't take nearly a year to develop, since you already have a working game engine. Just come up with a concept of what units you want, and what you want them to do. Then compare the desired units to Tremulous ones that are similar, and start changing from there.

It could work.

The knights could do melee or short range weapons, while Martians would have longer range but be flimsier in constitiution.

Not too different from what we already have.

You'd need a rather interesting interesting storyline, though.

No single player as of yet. We're just doing a multiplayer game.
