I have been tracking PHPBB3, or Olympus development for a long time now, and it has reached a fairly mature level. It is much easier to use than the past versions, and has a better interface overall, much cleaner. It still needs some Ajax love to make it stand out with IPB and vBulletin, but it is almost there.

New things include:
  • A User control Panel, like in the other forums
  • Subform support built in (Heavenly music plays)
  • Custom BB code creation
  • Custom fields on profiles
  • Topic bookmarks, subscriptions, and other similar things
  • Moderation que
  • Topic merging and copying
  • Locking of single posts
  • Moderation history on topic
  • Friends/foes with other users
  • Global Announcements
  • Filters in PM
And much much more!

Why does that stupid forum tells me I have already activated my account when I follow the link sent to my mail? But at least they've finaly fixed the "long message breaks page layout" problem.
