You need g_admin and corresponding admin level. Oh, and RTFM next time.
If my answer to your problem doesn't seem helpful, it means I won't help you until you show some effort to fix your problem yourself!
1.2.0 release's been delayed for 5:48:00 already because of stupid questions.

That's a bit rude.  "The manual" (Tremulous 1.1.0 March 17 2006) says nothing about admin commands or mute, and the FAQ (general discussion sticky topic) says that tjw mods adds mute capability, implying that it doesn't even exist on stock servers.  If you're going to RTFM someone, at least give a pointer (http://tjw.org/tremulous/ADMIN.txt) if it isn't obvious.

So, you see. Vanilla Trem does not have "Admin-cmds", the ones in there are rcon-cmds, so RTFM is valid :)
Searching the forum for "TJW" or using the link on the start-page of tremulous.net would have brought the solution w/o posting here and waiting for the Answers to drop in.

It's not completely intuitive that in order to find "mute" one should search for "tjw".    If you turn 100 competent researchers (i.e. people who have had peer-reviewed papers accepted for publication) with no tremulous experience loose on this website, how many of them would find the answer in less than 10 minutes?  If it saves 50 people 10 minutes of effort each, posting a straightforward answer seems worthwhile.

I guess those people cant be bothered with a "search"-button?
Even though, according to the news-papers, those people did a lot of search to get the stuff to fill their papers?

Lava Croft

Yeah, some people just ignore manuals and waste the precious time of other people with stupid questions and a misplaced attitude. You go girl.
