It seems a large number of posts in the General Discussion are all about server administration and server questions.  I'm surprised there is not a forum for this like there is on most other games.  I asked about this once before and someone told me servers was a private forum (?).  Why would that be?  By the volume of questions, it is apparent that there needs to be a separate forum just for servers.

Thoughts?

I though about this too. The topic with admin contact should be move there. Too bad mario hasnt updated it in about 6 months.

sounds like a good idea...but it could just encourage more posts like 'i got banned from sst for team killing humans while i was aliens' and i think those are frowned upon. Altho i do like to see those posts myself because it gives me a nice laff and tells me which servers have the best admins, it seems the majority of people would just like you to pm the person

These forums alone are encouraging people to complain about how they got kicked for deconning etc "unfairly".  There is no way to encourage them any further.

Besides, like you said, it gives us something to laugh at (so why are you complaining?!) and gives us an excuse to poke fun at them AND increase our post count at once!  Combo!

well i was saying more of the 'mature' people dont like to see the posts complaining about the 'unfair' kicks. I myself love to read them.

Bump - And I apologize for the bump, hoping the Mods do the same for not dealing with the problem.

No, a server forum/topic is not to accept all the "I got kicked from XXXX server for being a stupid jerk" threads, but all the crap like "how do I become an admin on my own server" or "I can't change my BPs" threads.  The range of server questions is pitiful to say the least.  They have no business being in the "General Discussion" and general players could care less about that crap.

In the very least, they should be moved to the trouble shooting forum, but a server forum that has a few stickies that answer the re-occurring stupid questions would be extremely helpful.  Almost every other game forum has a server specific forum.  Not sure why Tremulous does not.

Sorry for the semi-rant, but am tired of wading through too much noob wanna-be server administrator stupid questions that have been answered dozens of times.
