I was playing a few servers the other day for a few games and got the pleasure of my team being called campers. The problem was that my team was out in the halls of karith station on the other side of the map assulting their base. I was the only person in our base because I was the builder that round. And to make matters worse, the aliens were the typical pansies they have been for the past few weeks. Of course Mr. level 4 admin who was yelling at us for camping then camped when we were winning.

All that I ask from the community is some decency and rational accusations. People like this are really ruining the game. No wonder the NS people who played tremulous were so disgusted. For any modders reading this, please make a server side !silence vote command.

Thanks for the !mute, I was trying !silence, though that won't solve the problem. I think the thing we need to do is to encourage good spotsmanship while not looking like parents.

hahaha, doing !silence and not working must have been frustrating ;)
I hate those guys who always yells "STOP CAMPING!" I mean, seriously, it's their choice, let them do what they want... and if you don't like people camping, try and figure out how to be an anti-camper

lol, humans camp fast :x widely known
then again, mostly aliens camp around every corner just outside human base
so meaning both sides camp

but i had the same thing a few times, or my team was building or i was ;p

best camp nag ever

aliens where camping outside base, and i ran around them ;p with lasgun Xo going to there base <3 then aliens started nagging we camped and such blablabla, so i replied to stfu, and flaming begon

during the flaming i got there eggs Xp and started on the OM

man they where so pissed, lol.. i really hope they where crying =D


anyways, if aliens nag humans camp, try to let them believe that, so if others can get passed them, they mostly lose ;p

There is never 1 team camping, both teams camp otherwise its called attacking or defending :)

Most accusations of camping are unfounded.

My favorite is the camping accusations at S1.

Perhaps a !mute command for individual people? So if someone wants this other guy to shut up, he can use the mute command on him and only this guy cant hear him.

game indeed needs /ignore UnnamedPlayer, but better opinion would be to make some admin type /!kick UnnamedPlayer stop spamming! in the console...

It should probably send a global message to all player so they know that player x is ignoring player z.

Interesting, I never thought of using their perception of us camping like that Shadow-Majestic. I usually told them that we haven't ever camped the entire game, but then again, if you tell the enemy your strategy, they won't believe you. Halo 2 has proved that.

perhaps a personal squelch, ever play d2? You could choose who you have to listen to. So if someone is talking and you don't want to see his chat, there should be a squelch open to all users. (not only admins).  The whole game is based around camping, Camping is a strategy, what matters is knowing when to rush there base.  Anyone who bitchs about human camping is a moron.
