Problems with the game installation
« on: January 12, 2007, 10:56:10 pm »
Hello all,
I've downloaded Tremulous, and when i've run the file tremulous-1.1.0-installer.x86.run I've been getting this:
Code: [Select]
goundy@Gstation:~$ sh tremulous-1.1.0-installer.x86.run
Verifying archive integrity... All good.
Uncompressing Tremulous 1.1.0...............................................................................................................................................................
./setup.sh: 273: /home/goundy/.setup8846: not found
The setup program seems to have failed on amd64/glibc-2.0

Fatal error, no tech support email configured in this setup

I've a linux x86_64 (amd turion 64)

Thanks a lot for your help

the installer is 32 bit, you'll have to install all the 32 bit libraries that it needs, or download the zip and install that, then compile the client from the source.

My guess would be that none of the devs have a 64bit PC.
Any maps not in the MG repo?  Email me or come to irc.freenode.net/#mg.

Because you did not yet compile it?
tbh more ppl are still using 32bit arch and if you are using 64b it makes more sense to compile it natively to your own system :)

I've gone thorough all the work to get a 64bit version compiled, and as a result, I got a much much slower game than with a 32bit version. Don't bother for now :)
