Ideas: Making evos/credits more useful to grangers/ckits

First idea:
Being able of decreasing the building time of structures by spending some evos/credits
I was thinking one evo/220 credits to decrease the building time in 2 secs.

Second idea:
Being able of buying some extra build points by spending some evos/credits.
For this one i thougth a rate of 10 bp for 9 evos/2000 credits

I kinda like one of the features in gloom where excess kills go into BP.
Then again, Gloom had around 30-50 bp per building.

Perhaps a "build account" would be a nice way to adapt it to Trem.
Use the OM/reac to donate any amount of money. When enough credits are added, it becomes 1 BP.

No, in 2 minutes, one human earns 175 credits, and an alien earns 1 evo.

175 human credits exchange for 1 alien credit.

Whitebear presumed a full loadout where 9 evo = 9 bp and 2000/220= 9 bp and 20 credits left. Whereas you have 9 bp for aliens on a full loadout and 11 bp for humans with a full loadout.

Full loadout is meaningless. With 220 credits for 1 BP, human builders have to wait 2 minutes to get their first BP, and alien builders only need to wait 1 minute.

There are problems with the 175:1 ratio.
 the best human reward value is 3 (900 credit load-out), which converts into 3 bp.
The best alien bounty is 800 (Tyrant), which converts into 4 bp, 100 extra.

Two Tyrant kills give you 8bp, enough an extra turret, 200 credits extra.
Two dead Luci's give you uh, 6 bp.

Accumulate 2000 credits in a hunt, die. Spawn as builder, Buy 8 bp, resume hunt. It is very much a part of it. Although dedicated builders must wait for creds hunters can switch to help their builders make a base.

The end result. The team which dominates the early game, gets a stronger base, and gets to hunt more aggresively, which can then reinforce base again. Rinse repeat.

Couple it with a maximum BP used per reactor/repeater/OM/egg, any it will change Tremulous from skirmish into war, territory and all.

Do I really have to point out the obvious?

Ok back to basics people. Humans rely on a strong defensive base for survival, aliens do not. Allowing the amount of build points to be increased moves the balance towards humans. The two teams building abilities are not equal and should not be compared in this way.

I like this idea-
however, it would only really flourish in large servers with ATLEAST 15 people on each team IMO.

In a room where its 5v5, or 6v6, then BPs should be slightly cheaper, since to noobs like me who struggle to get 10 kills in a game, every evo/wad of cash is precious, and I would be at the very least reluctant to hand over 8 of my treasured evos just for a extra acid tube.

However, once again, in rooms where there are a lot of people, this could really take off if every person donated 1/2 evos or 175/350 creds.


I like this idea a lot though.

I think before we try to make an idea like this we need a nice system where 1 evo translates to exactly *** creds. Theres so many different credit to evo ratios depending on what you use to calculate it.

For a Evo point <-> credits exchange rate, you can use one of the following :
- killing one standard human warrior = killing one dretch.
- cash you get when waiting 1 minute = evo points you get when waiting 1 minute
