Yeah, I like the Decemberists to... albeit, they're a bit of an aquired taste.  Their lead singer has a rather unique quality to his voice that can at first be mistaken for fingernails on a chalkboard.  After you get used to it though, the stories their songs tell are rather interesting.

Decemberists - Lesli Anne Levine
Yeah, I agree, and thats a great song of theirs.

finally, someone with taste.

Thats one of the only bach string pieces i like, GOOD CHOICE.

Danse Macabre - Saint Saens - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyknBTm_YyM

Totally AMAZING piece which truly takes you on a journey, i heard it live a couple of weeks back, damn awesome. If your gonna listen to it, stay with it till the end, cuz the end a one of the best crescendos known to man.

also, on a side note, classical rulez.

Thelonious Monk and John Coltrane - Crepuscule with Nellie

McCoy Tyner - Search For Peace

Gene Harris - I'll Be Home For Christmas

King Crimson - 21 Century Schizoid Man

Then try this.

Adagio in G minor - Albinoni (turn your system up really loud and sit far away)

Kyung Wha Chung: Winter - Vivaldi
Allegro Non Molto
Largo
Allegro

Musica Antiqua Koln: Bach - Musicalisches Opfer - 2. Canon Perpetuus A 2
Watch these two guys very closely. Who is playing which part?
