}SMK{ Clan

Yeah, it's Gman19 here...again. I'm gonna try to get another clan together, seeing as to how }{CR}{ died a couple weeks after it's birth. So, here goes.

I'm Gman19, with the new Supreme Masters of Killing clan under my wing. You can visit our new forums at:

http://z6.invisionfree.com/SMK_Tremulous/

Supreme Masters of Killing (or }SMK{ for short) was created on January 20th, 2007. I, }SMK{Gman19}, as I'm called in-game, founded this clan. The clan is based in the Central U.S., so if you live anywhere in North America, you should have no trouble with lag/ping issues. We do not have a dedicated server yet, and I doubt we will anytime soon, but we frequent "++Beer Garden++", "#Boom-Boom# Virginia, USA", the MG server, and SST.

}SMK{ is a non-discriminatory clan; we like just about any type of player. I created this clan with the image of new and experienced members alike, men and women, black and white, anyone can join. On the forums is an application to join, as well as to war/ally with us. As of 1:40 AM GMT, January 22nd, 2007, I (Gman19) am the only member. Unlike }{CR}{, I have not contacted any former friends in past clans to join. I want to start fresh, since I think that my approach to Cryptic Resurrection was the primary cause of the clan's demise. I hope to fix that and actually let }SMK{ take off.

Our main goal of the clan is just to have fun. Sure, we would like to make a great name for ourselves and win every war we encounter, but our primary idea is just to have fun while winning or losing. There won't be a daily practice or any drill-sergeant leaders whipping you and cussing you out for being sub-par or not at practice on time. We're a laid-back, casual clan looking for any and all Tremulous players that are willing to join.

For a complete list of rules/regulations, see the appropriate topics on the forum. Thank you!

Well, I have proposed a war against Zilla clan for Saturday, January 10th at 3:30 PM Central Standard Time. Unfortunately, I discovered, after making the announcement at SMK forums, that my only other member cannot attend saying that he does not have access to a computer on that day. Which leaves me with 3 options:

1) Reschedule the war for a time he can attend,
2) Cancel the war altogether,
3) Get more members that can fill in for him before the 10th

I would rather resort to options 1 and 3, as you can tell.

Well, I hope we can recruit some more members! Thanks!

How about when you have enough members on, you just find us in game and we will match you then, its alot easier.

Well, smokey; That's the problem. Last time I tried waiting for enough members, I got griped at for "not being active enough in the clan" and the few members I did have left. So, yeah.

HOT NEWS

Since SMK needs at least 3 to 5 members before any real wars can begin, I am making a special offer to new members:

The first 2 members who register on the forums AND apply for entrance into the clan (not 12 hour hoppers like Qwandri) before March 1st, 2007 will be immediately placed into a command position within SMK.

This is not a gimmick to get more members quickly; we need several "toon leaders" to break the clan down into specialized squads. Normally, we would have all new members on the bottom tier of the clan, having to be voted into leadership after several weeks/months of being in the clan. However, we are willing to give our first 2 members their own squads immediately, without having to be voted into leadership after several weeks/months of being in the clan. Benefits of being a toon leader:

+ Command over the hand-picked members of your choice
+ Customized clan tags
+ Form your toon into your own personal image
+ Private forums for toon-only discussions
+ Answer directly to clan leaders/administration

Our chain of command is as follows, from top to bottom:

Leaders (Gman19 & ballju)->Toon Leaders->SMK Standard Members

Even if you don't register in time to get a toon immediately, you can still get one; it's just harder and takes longer. Promotions from member to toon leader aren't too common, but they can happen. More information can be found on the SMK forums. Thanks!

Well, we're down to less than a week left on the Member Special, yet have not gotten many applicants, with the only one being denied for posting an app that purposefully defied the emboldened, highlighted, IN-YOUR-FACE topic containing information on how to format the application.

*Sigh*
