Thats not a plan. Its barely common sense.
True plans involve sniping goons, covering tyrants and grateful dretches.
Your plan was just hurr everyone rush hurr
pah plans these days arnt what they used to be
Seconded. The only problem is, though, that usually 80% of your team doesn't listen to you (read: the dretches, which are the ones who you WANT to reach since they are often the ones that are vital to your strategy).
Once, on Tremor, I was playing as Alien.. HS3 vs AS3. Share was disabled (too bad). Humans' base fell back a bit. Most of their base was placed on the little highrise. Aliens kept pounding the main gate. Humans kept shooting aliens. Basically, some kind of stalemate. Myself, I was placed at number 1 of the Alien team (I had plenty of luck at Stage 1 with my Dretch and, later, Dragoon versus plenty of unarmoured Humans), was equipped with a Tyrant and had a few Tyrants and Adv Goons around me. Knowing that this battle wasn't going to end, I started talking with a few high-ranked guys (Advgoons and Tyrants) and started forming a plan. Unfortunately, our base got pounded a bit by rogue Humans, and in the end only me (Tyrant), and about three others (Advgoon and two Tyrants) were left. The rest was mostly Dretch and a few Marauders. Again, we were negotiating a bit about a plan, and eventually we set up an Adv Goon/Tyrant trap at the Boxes room entrance to the Human base. Basically, our Advgoon went in, sniped some MTs that were behind the most outward MTs, went out towards Boxes room, and any following Humans would be sliced by 3 Tyrants. However, this probably wasn't the most vital part of our tactic. The best part was the part where we set up one sane dretch which was actually listening to us (!) to stay near the Human base main door, so that it would be constantly opened. The rest (dretches and other low-life such as Marauders) would then hang around a bit at the Main Gate entrance to the Human base, but they weren't 'allowed' to enter their base. This way, 3 Tyrants could storm the Human base all at once without hinder from other Aliens, and other Humans would be distracted by all the lowlife at the main gate, which would give the Tyrants and the Adv Goon a bigger chance of taking the Human base down. Unfortunately, Dretches never listen, and the Dretch part of the strategy was lost. We won in the end, though, because of 4 Tyrants storming the Human base all at once from the Boxes room entrance.

So, anyone ever had a *real* nice and planned out strategy, where the complete team was acting as a team? From my experiences, plans usually consist of a few central figures (usually the top 3/4 players of a team) who *are* willing to communicate and plan out things instead of going Rambo.
Edit: oh, and yeah, /share is pretty nice. I remember once on one /share enabled server, as Aliens, where we got one 'central deposit bank' granger who Tyrants would donate to. The granger would then hold the evo points or share them back towards people that asked for evo points. Pretty handy. Saved a lot of time of typing stuff in in the Console as Tyrant.
