Hive kills in Tremstats

Tremstats shows "hive" as a preferred weapon for some players.

for example:
http://fragify.com/s/player_details.php?player_id=4403
http://fragify.com/s/player_details.php?player_id=2134

Obviously, this shouldn't happen, since players cannot make kills with hives.

However, Dasprid says this is a bug in the logging function of Tremulous itself. Not having any experience with console logs, I was hoping someone could confirm this or otherwise shed some light on the problem before I register a new bug on the Tremulous bugzilla.

As far as I know, what happens when a player dies from hive damage, (regardless of any other damage taken by the player) the only message that should appear in the log is "PlayerX was hunted down by the swarm", and no alien gets their kill count incremented on the scoreboard.

If this is the case, and Tremstats generates its data by parsing log files, then how could Tremulous be at fault?

1:00 Kill: 1022 0 36: <world>^7 killed b^4en^7machine^7 by MOD_SWARM

is what I get in my server log. Given that the examples you posted are players who have been playing for a long time, and only have a few hive kills, I reckon it's probably a special case, like a hive kill immediately followed by a specific other server message or something similar. That's my theory anyway, you'd have to ask dasprid (which leaves me wondering why I bothered posting, but it doesn't seem to have stopped me :p )
While we're on the subject, can anyone tell me what the prefix 1022 0 26 is for? Never been able to work it out.

without looking at the code (i'm lazy atm), i'm guessing that it's the entity # of the killing player (or in some cases not player: 1022 is world), the entity # of the killed player, and the means of death.
