2) What programs to use?

3) is it possible to use with blender3d,zbrush,daz3d or anim8or?

4) Then when its done wer do i put them so ppl can use them in game?

First off, all models and textures can be found in Tremulous/Base/data-1.1.0.pk3.

second, pk3's can be opened with Winrar.

Third, you can use blender,Gmax and 3dsMax to my knowledge, you just need to find the import export plugins.

Blender:
Importer/Exporter

Gmax/3dsMax:
Importer/Exporter

(EDIT):  New links added

I find Pakscape very useful for pk3's, since it is free and easy to use. It also does pak, vol and zips. I'm somewhat fond of jk files at filefront so here is a link for it:

As far as modeling plugins, I am interested as well.

I can't get the plugins to work on both GMAX and Blender.

hmmm the Gmax one should have worked i got it stright from my max folder.
are u sure you put it in the right folder?

remember that the import is a script an the export is a plugin. thus need to be in the right folder (location in the readme).

AND that gmax plugins wont work for blender and viser verser

as for using them (if ur new to gmax). to use scripts -

then to export, click file/export then enter in this window -

i dont know about the blender one tho, i havnt used blender more then once.

ps give me some time ill find were i got my md3 blender from

aaaah! GMAX
this happens when trying to OPEN a .md3 file, i took the models directory out of the data.pk3 and attempted to edit the LOWER.md3 in players/humanbase. i right clicked and clicked open with i then clicked Gmax and this is what i get, then it says lower.md3 failed to open or something like that

ah thats because to tryed open with, you have to drag to your desktop (or in your gmax/scenes).

then open gmax and open it using the scripts.(read above)

would every 1 be happy if i just made a vid on how to DL, install and use? lol

ps. ive just upload some blender plugins ive found that work. look above.

Milkshape 3D supports "Quake III: Arena MD3" so i'm gonna give it a shot.
edit: argh, it'd be nice if i could see some textures!
