I have to say this is one of the best freeware FPS games ever, and not very connection/system taxing at all.  Beyond Wolfenstein is the only one in the same category.  

And I'd recommend running your own server, upgrading your computer, and maybe developing your own mod if you're just a little unhappy. I agree there are a bit of TKing noobs, but so what, it's only a game.

And sorry I don't 'pet' animals.

In all honesty, there is some truth in TyrranzzX's post.
One just has to weed thru the stupidity.

Trem has taken a turn for the worse in pub servers but that was to be expected due to popularity.
I also agree that some servers seem to give admin rights to anyone who just asks and those people seem to get a bit "admin happy".

As for servers, well quite a few of my favorite servers have developed certain performance issues in the last few weeks(not sure why) and with the new TJW builds, the game has become slightly arcade-like (massive knockback, unlagged, etc).

As for the forums, well needless to say that almost half of the posts here ARE from moronic 12 year old trolls with nothing better to do. But that was expected as well, due to the popularity and the age bracket of Trem players.
Another thing that's adding to the decrease in the quality is Tremstats (this is just my opinion, don't flame me for it)

I don't blame DASPRiD for making this. Devs are like scientist. You can't foresee the negative affects your invention might have. I'm sure Einstein is doing back-flips in his grave due to a single equation he published in good intention.

Here is a solution that works for me.
Join or form a clan with people you like, that play the way you like.
Then join tremleague and play clan matches.
No suprizes, less/no moronic behavior and no idiot admins.

You'll be amazed how much the game quality improves once you are playing with people who get the game.
This I must add.
Games are for recreational purposes only.
If you play for any other reasons then fun, you need to turn off that computer and live a bit, ASAP!

Another one of PHREAK's good observations, but most servers with tremstats are usually filled with good players anyway so I don't think it directly affects anyone. But what has happened is more noobs are left figuring things out for themselves as the better players are leaving for always filled "pro" servers, i.e. BB.

The admins are shit.  I'v been banned from so many servers just for playing well or pissing off the wrong admin it isn't even funny.

And if you, as an admin, think "well nobody would do that on my server", then that's specificly the reason why; you just let them get away with it by not keeping track of your admins.

The servers are laggy and battles often come down to who has less lag.

The game itself is unbalanced like no fucking tomarrow and every other server modds itself without telling anyone, so either the humans become way overpowered or the aliens do.  The maps need to be fixed.

The players are n00blet dumbfucks that can't tell the difference between a massacre and a challenging game.

Worst of all, this forum is full of trolls.

In short, it isn't fun anymore because of the dumbfuckery of the people playing it.
