Compiling Tremulous for Solaris
« on: February 08, 2007, 02:29:08 am »
Hello My Name is Meticulo, I play tremulous often on the most populated servers so its easy to find me if anyone is interested. This is my first wall post on tremulous.net.  I would like some help porting Tremulous to SOLARIS 10    for the x86 platform. Currently I can play both quake 2&3 on solaris so I believe it should work fine since its based on the same engine. I have SDL, OPEN_AL,OPEN_GL developement files installed so there should not be a dependency issue. I have moderate knowledge of c++ however my territory is UNIX since its all I use and all I will ever use. I would like to be linked to the source code files. Also if it doesnt work natively in Solaris I will try to get it to work in a linux emuilator in solaris. I will notify all compiling errors once I attempt. Thank You for Your time and please dont scare me off tremulous forums lol.
y signature tobe lol

Note: The most recent revision compatible with vanilla/backport clients is SVN871. SVN872 and above use a little different protocol. If you want to build client compatible with this and older servers, build it from SVN755 sources patched with TJW's backport patch.
If my answer to your problem doesn't seem helpful, it means I won't help you until you show some effort to fix your problem yourself!
1.2.0 release's been delayed for 5:48:00 already because of stupid questions.
