SST Lucispam rule banished to evil rule closet

Well, confess and i have decided to get rid of the lucispam rule, and remove any bans for lucispam, so if you like sst, but hated the lspam rule, feel free to start playing again.

luci spammers just ruin games. because humans just camp n fire at all entrances meanin most aliens have very little hp left.

BB is right.  The only real case made against luci spam is how it drags down most players's fps when so many are doing the same.  In that case, a warning followed by a kick by the players can be called.  Hey, there ain't no operator's manual for the BFG, and you can't blame a noob for fishing with bread crumbs.  Can ya?

Of course, unless they Lucispam until they wear the aliens down to very few evos  when they attack, so that they can then go and lucispam the base.

I actually liked this rule... cut down on uber-lag that you get in s3 human camps.

ahh confess and para have gained some sense...too bad the server moved and my ping jumped up by an average of 40 since i last played there. I was salivating at being able to kill a team of 20 dretch first day players without having to blow myself to bits.

Its good that we can use lucies with singles shots but after playing with no lucy spam for so long...i find that it is more effective to use a charged shot than an single shot.  Splash damage and the 250 HP damage is loved by me.

Instead of banishing the rule, you should've just changed the servers definition of spam. Instead of saying, "ZOMG BEEP BEFORE YOU SHOOT" you should've made sure they didn't shoot down the halls at no specific target, or just shoot their luci's at nothing. Now noobs like BMAN sit in the base and just spam away, on Hamunuptra walking around a hallway corner can actually be dangerous or life-threatening considering 2-3 fully charged luci shots will be zipping by.
