Search the forums for this: "G_ParseSpawnVars" the admin file doesn't affect the server starting, it will run fine without it. However, your QVM and executable are likely mismatched, look around for the answer, it's in about every thread that contains the phrase "G_ParseSpawnVars"

There have been so many people asking this question and having this problem, I eventually wrote a whole How-To just to help you.  Read it carefully and follow the steps, and if you still have problems, post the question in that thread.

I actually did look in the forums and found your guide.
It helped a lot but I don't know if my server is on or not..
I did the forward porting (dunno if I did it right) and I had everything running, but I don't know how I know if the server is running.

I saw another topic and what you have is said to not be a router..

I did everything and this appears.
I assume this is what appears when you make the server correctly.

But Ive asked some of my friends to find the server and they can't.
I have my firewall down and I tried port forwarding the 32123 port with my router. Is there anything I'm missing?

yes me and you are at the same part man. i have tryed all that shit and still no good. i cant get it up on matser server list or fck all. magic and bman tryed connecting to it by address but still no luck SO ANYONE PLZ HELP ME AND Mjolnir

If the master server cant connect to you server, then it assumes no one can and wont list you.
Also it can take a while for the master server to update and list you.
afair its half an hour...

no, you need to make sure that players can connect to the computer from the internet, and you need to make sure that it sends at least one heartbeat to the master server.

Hi, guys,

Mjolnir, according to the logs you've posted, your server seems to be up and running fine.  If your server is set to use port 32123, and if you correctly set up port forwarding for port 32123, then your server should be on the master server list.

In my experience the master server updates almost instantaneously.  It will never take 1/2 an hour.

Ace, remember that the game is running in the background whether someone is playing or not.  At 55 minutes, the round ends, the map closes, and the next map starts automatically.  This is what the log shows.

Why you can't find the server: Read my guide.  I recently updated it.  The section you want is near the end titled "Why can't I see my server?"  The short answer is that you will NEVER see your server in the master server list if you connect from home.

What you need to do is start your server from home, then go to work or school and try to connect from there.  Or ask a friend to try to connect to your server.  Make sure you give them the right name for your server so that they can find it on the server list.

New QVM's don't change my server.

Well, after reading about the much-hyped Lakitu7's 1.1.0 QVM, I downloaded it. When I first ran my server, before my brother wrecked it, I used to frequently change QVM's. It worked, it added new features, and damn, was it fun.

Recently, I've been attempting to upgrade my QVM from the default TJW QVM to new QVM's, starting with Risujin + Avengers 3 (Balance Lite V3).

My latest QVM is Lakitu7's, but none of the features work. I installed the QVM (Dropped it into base/vm), restarted the server, and tried a new feature in the QVM (g_newbieNumbering 1). Bang. A big fat nothing happens.

I'm not sure why, but it appears that my server retains its old QVM's even after changing to new ones.

Any help would be appreciated.
