The graphics card could be the weakest link, but its a nVIDIA, which is good in my opinion since I've found them to be friendlier to Linux than ATIs. Now I suggest to go on and look for a nice Linux distro with the same eyecandy as Vista and dual-boot with it.

This is why I love the Tremulous and other Quake-based communities, it's not like Valve whores who are all into DX10, it's people who know that free and editable = good and fun.

Why does everyone hate vista?
Wasn't it the same when xp was released, and now everyone uses it.
Btw, nice comp :)

No, a lot of people still hate XP and use Win2k just because XP is a memory whore, but Vista just added onto that and built annoyances and DRM into everything. XP was also easy to get illegally for free, Vista requires not harder, but more time consuming workarounds to get an illegal copy up and running as registered/activated...oh yeah, and there's the price and the opinion that it took so long to make it yet other OSes have projects that blow Aero out of the water.

Just because everyone went to hell doesn't mean you have to.

Besides, there are probably more linux users on tremulous then windows because windows users tend to go out and buy their games. :( Rich assholes.

Yeah, but XP had more then just one thing for publicity....Vista only has Halo2 for PC, and that's ALL it has, nothing else worth mentioning...oh, i'm sorry..it has a pretty start menu

ya know what, i'd say that'd get pretty fucking confusing

well...maybe if it comes with a prepaid photoshop C2....

but microsoft's too cheap for that

oh..and just for the record....Windows Media Player 11 sucks donkey nuts and Media Center is a crappy waste of space :S

With how nice the processor is that PC will definatly bottleneck at the gpu. Anyways you will get so much more out of posix compliant system (either linux or one of the various bsd's) because they actaully use threading correctly, with windows you are pretty much wasting one of your cores.

I use FreeBSD (sometimes openbsd), I got pissed off at the linux politics (also i like the modified bsd liscense much better than gpl, gpl isn't actually freedom, it is simply more free.). So I am a POSIX troller, not a linux troller.

Really Nice computer specs.  Though I would say that the graphics card is really outdated now.  Direct X 10 is non supported.  But I hope you can still run AERO Glass.

By the way, for the guy that had to approve to play tremulous every time. why dont you just set it so you are the admin of the computer, so you dont have to do that.
