Adreniline for Humans
« on: February 24, 2007, 06:15:13 pm »
I think this may have been suggested before but I'm too lazy to use the search button.  I think that at S2 humans should get an Adreniline needle.  Cost 100-200 creds lasts 15secs.  It would give them unlimited stamina for the duration.  It would be perfect for raids on the Aliens base.  What do you think??

P.S. if this has been suggested before I thought it should be brought back to people's attention.

If you too lazy to bother, why should we bother?

If there comes a trickjumpserver of some kind, it would be perfect :D
...but I don't think it would be a success in a h-vs-a match. Nice idea thow.

Just to make you happy David I did do a search finally for "Adrenaline" and found no relevant matches to what I suggested here.

Yep BSUIT and one use of unlimited sprint for 15sec per loadout I figure that would be about like say oh I don't know a Tyrant Cruising all over the place with unlimited charge.  The only alien I really see this hindering is a goon since they are so slow without their pounce ability.

Just imagine this Nexus 6 the aliens are camping tyrants around the corner killing everying that is silly enough to peek his/her head around.  Now you have the choice of actually being able to dance more successfully with said Tyrant. Example2 you've been greiviously injured and you need to make it back to base pop this baby and you very well may be able to sprint all the way back home.

one last tweak to the idea after your 15sec of fame is up you lose all but one bar of stamina that way you're not winded and it a bit more realistic.

I feel this is a way to strengthen humans without weakening aliens as seems to be the common theme for most changes tot the game.  Ex. weakened alien regen away form egg/OM and decreased Tyrant slash range.

more comments please  :)

Just ask the aliens to build a booster in your base.

Probably because this idea's in ET, and I'm glad you didn't suggest the take half damage part. :D
I'd rather have a stampack.  Which instantly rebooster's the stamina.

bring in the starcraft stimpacks. Turn you into a speed freak for ten seconds...during which your health constantly drops regardless of any medical assistance.

Been a while since I played Q3:Arena, but I thought they already had a stim boost powerup which gave you that effect.  I'm pretty sure I played a map or two which had it. Snake the code and make some SVN lovin' with it.

ultra, hydras, lings, marines, firebats, ghosts, medics
mmmm.. siege tanks!
yay for copyright infringment!

it's really too bad zerg vs terran full scale war
with all units and vechicals would be an epic fps =p
(for pc though not the stupid sc:ghost ideas they had lol)

Actually, I was thinking this was about as close as we could get to a Starcraft FPS anyway. I mean, the aliens have:

1. A  unit which is small but very fast and relies on melee. (zergling!) Its even the first unit for both!
2. A unit which fires spines! Hydralisk... or goon?
3. A giant melee unit with huge claws! Ultralisks/Tyrant.
4. An overmind. Come on. What are the odds that "overmind" as a big, immobile structure which commands aliens came up in two different places?
5. The overmind's voice. I could swear that "The overmind needs more spawns!!" sounds just like the voice from Starcraft, except that one is always saying "We need more Vespene Gas!!"
6. Humans with Machine Guns, large metal suits, and an injection which is useful in battle.
7. All the different noises they make. Like humans being injured and such. I'm sure theres an "aaaaahhhhrg" noise in there that almost matches the Marines.

What the heck is facetiously??? Nvm. Googled it. Yes, all my posts are sort of jokey, and not particularly serious.

TO the other post: There are LOADS of ways to say "Oh my god i'm being eaten alive." For one thing, you could just say it. Or, you could go for more of an "Earrrrrrggg", or even an "Oooooaaaaaaarhhh." I mean, you don't have to go with a big "aaaarg" from the throat. You could do a really nasal one! If you really wanted to get diverse, you could go with a sort of "whooooo-aaaaaaaaahhhhh" or a "Aaah ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaaaaa..." sort of slow, stuttering cry of pain.

Gee. Above discussion of how to say "aaarg" sounds like something from a Monty Python.
