All the wall hacks I've seen allowed the user to shoot through walls while he was within the wall. Thats also the main point of the hack, enable you to shoot your opponent while he can't shoot you.

I might be wrong, but I'm speaking about the hacks for other games I've seen(Yet to see this one in action)

There are 4 kinds of wallhacking:

*Wallhack: Basically allows you to see through walls. Really only good  for games where grenades can kill with splash damage.

*Wallshot: What Mantra is talking about

*Wallghosting: Basically a toned down noclip. Player can still shoot and be shot at.

*Noclip: You know what this does.

So, either I had real weird lag, or I finally saw someone using some kind of "invisibility" on SST (I think it was SST, I was hopping around some) yesterday. I saw the tag "Unnamed Player" on my HUD, but no player. This was on Karith (I'm pretty sure), in the alien base, right by the overhead door in the egg room. It could have been because there were 45+ people on, and I was right near a brush. There was one laggy battle, where one outdoor jettard was keeping about 8 to 12 aliens busy neither attacking or really defending. It was S3, so the battle near the human base had plenty of lucispam, but mostly it was Tyrants desperately vying for space, backing around corners.

The same thing happened again in a stairwell, but with an actual name with colored letters, etc. Again, no player to be seen. Both times I was looking in front of me, not towards any good hidey places. Weird. Anyway, I couldn't tell if it actually was a "cloaked" player, or just lagginess. Both times I was nowhere near a battle, and had pretty high framerate (my ping is usually around 45-78 before I connect). Anybody else seen any "ghosts"?

Actually, the ability to see the location and type of enemy through a wall allows for one to get a distinct strategic advantage, surprise!!!!

This is a shit wallhack that is an unmodified version of a q3 cheat. Becuase they share (almost) the same engine, players can use junk like this, with little to no modification. Anti-hack software like PB or something similar to VAC implemented in version 1.2.0 would be a welcome surprise.

Also, the ONLY wallHACK is the kind that allows you to see through walls. Noclip is a command available only though devmapping, or by starting the game with a special set of cvars and turning on sv_cheats. Wall"ghosting" is a made up term. and I don't know WTF Mantra is talking about. I've played CoD, CoD2, the original UT, UT2004, and Runescape, so I'm pretty sure I've seen most of the hacks there are.

Actually, in CS it was possible to activate noclip on servers with cheats off. Pretty sure it's not possible on trem, but figured it was worth mentioning.
