I am the founder/leader of PC$ clan. There is an imposter going around by the name of $PC$monster. He IS NOT, and never was in PC$ clan. I don't know what his actions may be, but they are not condonned by my clan. If possible, I please ask that you ban him on sight.

He's pretending to be part of a clan that I worked hard to create. If you were me, you cannot tell me that you wouldn't be upset if some phony was out there giving your clan a bad name. Besides, I've asked him more than enough times to please change his name. He didn't, so then I did a !rename on him, and he still didn't get it. I saw him again later, and asked him to changed his name again, and he kept the tag. If you don't want to ban him then fine. However, if thats the case, then I've been horribly wrong in thinking that something as simple as respect for someone and their team could occur on something as minute as a game.

I can see why your upset, and if someone was  using the MG tag I would be pissed too.
But as a admin I cant ban someone without good reason.
Some person I have never seen before, from a clan I have never heard of doesn't count.  If I see him on a server where I am admin I will keep an eye on him, but people have to right to use whatever name they want, and until tremulous has a inbuilt clan system that wont change.

EDIT: the only semi official clan system we have is posting in the clans forum.  You haven't even don't that. As far as I am concerned, at this moment in time, there is no clan called PC$.

I'm not sure if it is the same person but there's a person from your clan that goes by the name PC$Ghost and keeps harassing me everywhere calling me names and calling fake kick votes (like last time he tried to vote kick me out of a game on Dretch Storm for sending him dirty PMs when I was minding my own business and playing without paying him much attention despite all the harassment). It's one thing to ignore somebody but totally unfair when someone tries to vote-kick on fake grounds. He blocked me, followed me around in the game and was shooting at me (FF was on).  He also stalks me and my friends. A shame really that there is no way to stop such childish behavior.

I've seen him use aliases like [Pro]PC$Ghost+SST, etc. Is he a member of your clan?

Sorry, bad attempt at humor. What I mean is maybe PC$ should just provide a list of their current members, and then we'll know who is in PC$ and who isn't. Until someone shows up on a server using that tag. Maybe Trem needs a portal, like Tribes had, where you can register your handle. Naah, it's probably too easy to bypass. After all, the game was FREE. (No CD key, no replacement cost to delete and re-download, etc. These aren't negatives, just actualities.) It's like the Wild West out here. Security! Call security...

See, I play with a bunch of friends (Shawna, Pogo and others). I don't mind using aliases but I can't always request my friends to change theirs for me. At times they do, at times they don't and we usually go play together and this person seems to know we hang around and thus, he stalks them and calls me names on every server they go to. Last time, I wasn't on the server my friend was playing on (under her regular name) and he came on and started saying Sandra is this and that and my friend later told me about it. I wasn't around but he probably thought I was under an alias. He seems to be a friend of Yarou's so no wonder...  :roll: I wish there was a way to ignore a particular person but since there isn't.. I'll just try to overlook.. It's hard though to be harassed this way and fake vote-kicks suck since people vote whatever at times.
