Something to make building in S3 slightly kewler than building in S2, besides the unlocked structures (if there are any)

I get yelled at or deconned for building the few S3 structures that there are. Until yesterday, I hadn't been able to keep a tesla for more than about two minutes without someone taking it down to put up a turret to slow down Tyrants (yeah right, hot slag a-flyin', thanks, I'll repair that after I run away with third-degree burns). I play a lot of mass confusion servers, and don't notice every stage change, as I rarely buold past S1 or 2 (someone better usually comes along, or someone more insistent). And whenever I try a hive or a hovel someone takes it down to put up an acid tube or trapper. I have to admit, janev, I posted in haste, meant to edit, never did, and plumb forgot. Sorry to insult your proclivities, I know you like to build. But it's all cool now, I looked up that factoid, and I'll use it again sometime or maybe never. So many maps and structures that people say are useless. Oh, well, every game has the kewl tools and the lame stuff. One man's ATCS is another man's Uncreation.
On topic, I would like a better weapon in S3 for destroying enemy structures while I'm building. Time to play with 'nades more. (Another good way to get vote-kicked in pubserverland - you shoulda seen the cliquekicks going on yesterday at either SST or one of the related servers [jumping around, looking for gameplay & ping, don't remember exactly where]: 'Kick player because he annoys me' as reason and vote passes.) Some of the servers I play on have widely varying BP, and some players seem to hate making an advance camp, especially humans. A slighly beefed-up blaster with advanced ckit in S3 would keep the dretches at bay. As would one tesla, and constant repair, if "teammates" (co-players might be a better term) would allow/support.
