If you have ever played on SST for any length of time, you would have known that there are many players who have or have had at some time SST in their name.  As far as I know, it's not a clan or guild of any kind, merely a tag to represent SST-lovin'.

SST Tag represents playing on a terrible server.

Actually, I believe the tag is a representation of adminship at |SST|. What's your reasoning behind saying |SST| is a terrible server? I've played there for quite a while, I like the admins (excluding a select few), I like the regulars (again, excluding a select few), and I like the server settings. I also like how Paradox has some fun every once in a while without going overboard like on a few other servers (not mentioning any names).

I think the major complaint against SST is that it encourages noob building. New players come in, build for their first game, see that they can build bases that won't work on normal servers, and then come into other servers and try to build those bases. At least, that's what it was like when AKKA was still going strong...

Well the people I've seen with it, were mostly using it to say, "I play at this big pubserver (in addition to being in another different clan)" or "I admin here at SST" and people will help run the giant schoolbus, pop out to report complaints on the forums, console griefers, silence whiners, and lead by example (admittedly sometimes a rather typical example of gamer prankstership, but that's the nature of the beast). By the very nature of the game, many of these people may also show some tendencies towards ego or competitiveness, which may be perceived by others as aggressiveness, when they are merely doing what is necessary to maintain order when you're the sheriff.

I met that person once, he wasn't all that bad... at least not as bad as a bunch of people i've played with...

Im too lazy to make a bunch of quotes, so im just going to agree with the 5 or so people who just owned superpie for saying someone else was more of an ego case than her. Especially when the person is Wafles. (and ZOMG he doesnt abuse admin!)

I've played with Waffles, you should see the number of people with breakfast-food-related slams as their IGNs (Ihatepancakes, pancakessuck!, waffleater, & c.). All in all, he was a good sport about it, and played the game, for the most part. He's donated evos to me, played a good round, and consulted with the complainers, all at the same time. If he spammed a couple "Pwned!!" binds, who hasn't? it's pretty much mandatory, if you wanna play killcount king-of-the-hill. Which you become, when you're the main admin, because you're the sheriff, and every badass hombre wants to take you down.

To which I must reply, and how were these new people acquianted with the actual facts of building when they joined smaller servers? !denybuild? It takes a person who has the persistence to keep trying to build in the face of learning in the Wild West and getting slapped hard for it on a smaller server. But's that's how you learn. Not everyone has alternatives to getting publicly abused on a big server they don't control or getting privately abused on a smaller server they also don't control. N00bs are welcomed on the big pubservers to learn how not to play for the same reasons they are banned on the smaller servers: they're goon fodder. I know. I'm one of 'em.

mDc - Mass Driver Club, I like this clan because they have a strict wa of recruiting people. Only thorn and Cadmium I've seen from this one and they are both |~0(|<20|~2.
