is there any alternative to Milkshape 3d to use for modelling or editing an alien for tremulous? Milkshape sucks for aliens (with al lthose vertices..) and I don't know how to apply colour to the grey model.

3ds max, off course a version that the md3 exporter supports

How do you get the models, I have mac version of trem and I have searched all the files and things, but no models?

open base/data-1.1.0.pk3 with an archiever
(it is a zip file)

I dabbled in modelling back in the day... Tried a hacked 3Dsmax and liked the interface. Was scared off of Blender b/c the interface is so weird (and likely awesome). I'll try out Wings...

How can I get the models into blender,
I have tried LOTS of importers but none work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

get those 5 files
place into .blender\scripts
hopefully it will work :D

I'm using a mac and i have got blender 2.43 RC2, There is no scripts folder (I think, can't find one) shall i upgrade to the newer version????

the folder where you see lots of  .py files
btw you will need python 2.4 to run it

That didn't work on mine BUT I just found another gr8 importer/exporter that works on mine!!!!!!!!  :)  :D  :)  :D
