Seems like typical chat on a pub-server forum. Look at the previous and next subjects (U a gurl & is it?). At a certain time of day, everybody just got home, or had dinner, or did their homework, and want to chat before/after/instead of playing. Stop by a small server on a weeknight, and listen to the chatter. It's a much social as it is actual tactical and strategic relay of information. Plus a lot of people are just messing with other people and/or trying to be funny. I play at a lot of public and small clan servers. This is pretty typical.

How does ping affect anything?  Unlag solves most problems with ping. Well, if they have higher ping which pinky normally does.

I'm not saying that there aren't any cheaters out there. It's not like Tremulous is particularly difficult to crack, or anything. It's just that the majority of people who want to cheat can't get a hold of the cracks, and the majority of the people that could cheat don't want to. 99.9% of the accusations that get thrown around, like this case, are senseless, and arise from mentality that anyone that beats you too badly in an online multiplayer game is cheating.

I mean, honestly, getting a high score on Dretch*Storm? Pinky's good with a massdriver, yeah, but what would they do if the actual really good players started killwhoring there? Have a hemorrhage?

Unlagged does a hit check. Someone with high ping on an unlagged server can shoot you after you have passed behind a wall. Or even appear to shoot you behind him.  It has to do with the delay.

Because of the delay with the ping you could think your free and clear. Than the hitcheck from unlagged interupts and says according to the time you where under his crosshair on his shot.  This normally isnt as obvious vs normal ping players.  But when someone has constant 250ping it means it will take that long before the server corrects its (miss with a hit).  But according to Pinkys screen you were there and he shot you.


I stand behind pinky 100% as for the ones who say he just got good. Its because unlagged was built into the svn with the newer tjw.

He uses a sort of proxy rotation, so his IP changes every time. I kicked the guy like 10 times the other day.

Now here we have an Admin that does not know anything about dynamic IPs, yet they pride themselves about knowing the difference between aimbot and a good player?

I watched the demos, and the supposed aimbot is not there, especially after enabling the hitboxes you can see that he does NOT aim at the same place twice in a row. His aim also does not switch rapidly from head to head as it usually does when using an aimbot.
