cannot load default.cfg

i've just downloaded the standalone and as timbo said i have uninstalled quake 3.
now i get the error stated above, anyone help?

sounds like it's not finding the main pk3's what OS are you using?

You coul try starting it with a command line like +set fs_basepath PathToBaseFolder
