I joined the community EXACTLY a year ago..
It was fun back then, i loved reading the forums or playing a bit on the (i think) 20/30ish servers online.(full/empty filtered out).
I joined MG a bit later, back then; the nicest and friendliest clan i could find.
I stopped playing in September and started again yesterday.
Immediately, i discovered that there were a lot more servers online and a lot more idiots too.
In 10 games i've played on diff. servers, 8 were filled with spammers and the typical 10year olds.

I truly hope the community doesn't deteriorate more..

Perhaps just move where the spammy posts start off into an off-topic thread?

How about self moderation. What the forum needs is a mod up/down flaggins system to weed out all the fuckwads.

I've been suggesting this for a short while myself in #tremulous. Peer review works so long as you have checking mechanisms in place to prevent automated peer reviews and groupings (Ala Digg).
