You are not the originals.  This is called trolling, and it is pretty old (in internet time) and very annoying.  You may find it funny, and it can be when used appropriately and in the right context, but derailing threads that were specifically created for information gathering and discussion wastes the time of everyone involved.  I equate it to children throwing rocks at cars.  It seems very funny, the children will laugh about it later, but everyone else involved still has to wade through the bullshit it entails.

Incidently, the largest prank in tremulous history that I know of was when multiple servers where created to flood the server list.
