For the sake of joining a clan, THEN joining the forum, a suggestion:

(Light Las gun/or some cool name)- Starting human weapon (Hitscan)
Feeds with 5 clips, 25 rounds of energy, with a bit more spread than the rifle. 6 DMG and reloads at reactors, energy and repeaters. S3/SD tech. ( I just thought... when you just have a reactor and a few nodes, why not have some basic weapons that can, in fact at least not run out so fast when you've still got the reactor?

Things I'm never going to suggest: Energy Chaingun (With spread, naturally.)

For a more noobish request:

High Caliber Revolver (Primary)
6 clips, 7 shots,spread, 20dmg each. sorta like a MD, but you have to hit them at least twice.

or maybe a clip fed pistol as a sidearm that can be paid for?

I would like buyable sidearms or atleast a sidearm that can kill something bigger then a dustmite.

just learn to be more conservative and less spammy with them

a sidearm better than the blaster does sound nice though

Revolver (sidearm) 50 credits- 6 rounds, 10 dmg reach. Rate of fire: 3 rounds a second. Spread: a little. Instant hit. s1 tech.

(IMO light las gun feels like a machine pistol)

I want that big ass primary handgun anyway..

The problem is that if you are going to give the humans a cool S3 spawning weapon, you need to give aliens one too.

Hell, I'd even say that people joining the aliens at S3 will have an even harder time than if they joined the humans.

Sidearms are interesting.  A problem there is that humans are supposed to be punished for not rationing their ammo.  An excellent sidearm will prevent this from happening to some degree.

Also, I don't like the idea of builders being able to wield them.

Those dust mites can be kinda hard to kill eh?

for a starting weapon, it seems a bit strong, but say for 200 credits (deducted when you spawn) and then you spawn with with it, I would be all for it, good idea.

If humans get that I want LAZER BEAMS attachted to my head when on aliens. (hell no)
Reason the credit/evo system works is that better players that get more kills can dry out the oppoment so that base is defenceless when final battle is held.
