i think that basi need to have an advaced advaced vertion.  maby one that can "camiface" (the same thing that camileans do) so you dont see THem that easly.  and always have poison. plus there gas goes up to the roof smoking down jet packers easly and being able to snipe with ones half as week as an advaced dragoon but have 6 of them. be extremly fast but only have 75 hp .  it sould cost 3 kills.  aleans need some more things that are only cheep with skill like a mas driver
just an idea if it is to cheep give some suggutions

I CANT SPELL!!!! exsept it and dont bug me about it

Two words: spellchecker

Also, don't multipost again!
urphy's rules of combat
8 ) Teamwork is essential; it gives the enemy someone else to shoot at.
18 ) Make it too tough for the enemy to get in and you can't get out.

1. Install firefox, Use its spellchecker
2. Play the game so you dont suck so bad, and dont keep making noob suggestions.

I have lost count of the "new basilisk" threads. A search for "basilisk" will reveal several threads either specifically about, or containing discussions about the basilisk, on the first results page. They were probably worth reading before starting another one.

Anyway, in reply to your suggestions, the current gas range is usually sufficient for indoor jetpackers since basilisks can wallwalk to move closer to them. Colour changing to match surroundings would require much work, and would be of little use once the humans have helmets.

The one distinctive ability of the basilisk is to immobilize humans while they attack, and the essential skill needed to exploit this is to be able to approach humans without alerting them to your presence. I think that reducing the sound that a basilisk makes and/or reducing their visibility on human radar would be simple and effective ways of making this an easier task.

Whether the game actually needs this is a completely different issue though.

omg, i love basies but i think the advadv basi would compete with the tyrant lol. I've seen players (actually, i'm talking about a guy with the name com???????, everyone just called him com) and he had like 20 kills in 5 minutes with a basi. He owned lucies with his basi and he destroyed parts of the human base with that basi. He then became s2 and.......

He was in com? Or a regular name that started with those letters?

If it was Compressor, that was the name {SGA}Ender used for the few days he learned his Basy.

Giving the aliens a semi-cloaked character that's purchasable for say, 7 evos would be a cool idea (stage 3).  You can't see it when it's completely still, but when it moves you see an energy signature or something.

Maybe it's human counterpart could be stim-packs that can be purchased right off the bat at stage 1 (for 200 credits?) that allow you to move 3 times as fast (a little faster than an alien) for 30 seconds.  Pair that with a pain saw/shotgun and you're golden.

I think it would get the humans to camp less (rush out for at least 30 seconds, lol)  And it would give the aliens a little better base defense (luci suit begins storming thru base only to have 2 cloaked aliens suddenly appear and eat his head.)

This is what I think should be done with basis..

Stage 1 (Basilisk)
    * Instead of gas has a venom function. Useable every 140 seconds and lasts 20 seconds. Grants regular poison damage, dizzieness(except bsuits) and is mediable.
    * Silent walking
    * Same HP
    * Same grab as basilisks have now on regular/bsuits.

Stage 2 (Advanced Basilisk)

    * Instead of gas has a venom function. Useable every 140 seconds and lasts 20 seconds. Grants stronger than normal poison damage, dizzieness(except bsuits) and is un-mediable.
    * Silent walking
    * Same HP
    * Stronger grab on regular/bsuits

The reason I think gas should be eliminated is that it becomes almost obsolete in s2 and especially in s3 when most everyone has helmets/bsuits. I love gassing people but I think a venom ability is more suiting the basilisks 'lone assassin' attack style. I really don't want to see a stronger grab on both basis though, only the advanced should have it if at all. Just my 0.02.

in the new tjw version, basi gas works on everyone. it doesnt do any damage though, but it disorients and slows you down.

And the basi is silent.
People really need to start playing the latest version before suggesting stuff.
