About post locks
« on: April 16, 2007, 05:07:32 pm »
Some people dont seem to get the idea of post locks. If a post is locked, it is for a good reason, usually the post was a flame war, a useless post that served no purpose, or an offensive post. If a post is locked, DO NOT open a new post that is the same post, i can just as easily lock or delete it. Also, one thing that seems common is the opening of posts saying "OMG! THEY LOCKDED MY POST!!!1!!one!!OMGWTF" If a post was locked, it was locked for a reason. If you feel that a post was acceptable, pm a moderator, and state why you think it should be unlocked, as well as a link to the post.

Wow Paradox, I had no idea you would be so upset about my wishing a 15 year old a happy birthday.  Don't be an asshole.

Oh, and I posted this one publicly on purpose.  There's no way I'm going to quietly PM you about your removing a perfectly decent and non-spamming post.  You're being a fucking dyke and I want the forum to know it.

The case was about the actual posting, not the content of it.

Difference between enforcing rules and power-freak tho... Thankfully Paradox apparently is still on the safe side of that line.   :)

It is really sad that you miss the actual point. I don't mean any dictatorship, just rules to keep some retards in line. So I don't know where you angst comes from.. But really... You just... As I said before.

And I'm in total agreement.  I was just pissed cuz I thought he deleted something of mine out of spite... I believe I already backed down and posted some form of apology...  May we drop this?

(My "anarchy" post was just cuz I liked the symbol)

my dad is a teacher, and he has a philosophy when it comes to students questioning the democracy of a classroom. philiosophy being that his class is a benign dicatorship, and the benignness of the dictator depenends on the attitude of the student.

same principle here i recon

Known as Hydra ingame,
1227 apparently, can't change that now...

You got that one wrong.
No one forces us to be here, but loads of parents force their kids to be with your dad.

I don't know if you just now discovered forums or are just new to "the internet", but your analogy sucks.

Take a look at me and paradox .) He is a mod and I am still here.
