<<< Added additional organic/misc texturepack >>>

An ongoing project of mine is to develop an alien-centric map, a breath of fresh air from the multitude of 'base' or 'techno' maps that are out there.  In case anyone else has the same ideas, or would like some organic textures to add depth to their own map, I've accumulated textures from around the Internet.

Name: alien.pk3
Size: 29.8 MB
Number: 268 orphan textures are included.
Resolutions: Most are 512x512; a few may be 256x256.

Name: organicmisc.pk3
Size: 1.54 MB
Number: 59 orphan textures are included.
Resolutions:Most are 256x256; a few may be as big as 640x480.
Download link: FileFront Download

Enjoy!

It is nice to have more textures to use, especially alien ones, but who made these? What is the license for them? I would like to be able to credit the author(s) who made them.

Great job though. Most of the textures look really good, and some are really awesome. Its nice to have this. Thanks.

There isn't even a Creative Commons license for these textures.  All of them have been from free online repositories.  The authors are listed though, so I'll go back and list them with a text file inside the .zip, but it will take some time.

Since they are from free image repositories, I guess it doesn't matter. I wanted to make sure that they are free to use.

Don't do too much work on account of me though. What are the repository web sites? I can look up the authors myself.

Win98, damned if I don't totally forget the urls.  I'll hunt them down for you sometime this week.

Added an additional texturepack, created about half from Textsynth of photos I took, and half from Thorsten Willert's collection:http://stilgar.st.funpic.de/
